The number of liens claimed in Louisville, KY this past year have risen forty percent. In 2011, there were approximately 75 liens over $5000. And in 2012, there were 105 liens filed, a 40 percent rise. Recently, the amount of liens have been falling steadily, going from 260 in 2008, 180 in 2009, 95 in 2010 and plummeting to a mere 75 in 2011. This rise in liens means a rise in the construction industry, as we have been seeing nationwide. Unfortunately, rise in construction, means a rise in Kentucky construction liens.
